An above-ground pool with a rim a good metre up calls for a solid ladder. This Bestway model hangs over the wall and has steps on both sides: on the outside you climb up, on the inside you go down into the water.
The frame is metal with a corrosion-resistant finish, with three wide plastic steps per side. On top of the rim sits a platform with two handles to hold on to while you step over the wall. Bestway gives a maximum load of 150 kg.
According to Bestway the ladder fits pool walls up to 107 cm high and up to 30 cm wide, so measure your own pool first. The ladder itself is 107 cm high and is supplied flat-packed in a box of 113 x 42 x 9 cm.
If you have a round or rectangular above-ground pool with a wall of around a metre, this is the straightforward way to get in and out without hanging off the rim.
