The Playmobil Asterix Figure Set 71680 is a special 2024 anniversary edition, created to celebrate both Playmobil's 50th anniversary and Asterix's 65th anniversary. The box holds ten play figures from the famous Gaulish village, including Asterix, Obelix, village chief Majestix, druid Panoramix, the dog Idefix and the adversary Julius Caesar, together making up 58 pieces.
Each figure can be taken out and combined separately, so a child or collector can re-enact scenes from the comic or invent their own adventures with the familiar characters. The figures carry recognisable details such as Obelix's striped trousers, Panoramix's white beard, and Caesar's laurel wreath and Roman armour.
The box states an age range of 5-99 years. That makes this set suitable both for play and for keeping as a collector's item.
This figure set makes a nice gift for fans of Asterix and Obelix, or for anyone already collecting earlier Playmobil figures from this range who wants to expand their collection.
