A Chaplain is the spiritual officer of a Space Marine Chapter, and Brother Vanius looks the part: black Terminator armour with gold trim, a skull-faced helm with red eyes, parchment scrolls on the plate and a white-and-blue tabard down to his boots.
He carries a storm bolter with a red magazine on his left arm, and his crozius, the staff with a skull and golden wings on a red shaft, comes with the figure as a separate part. The heavy Terminator silhouette makes him a good deal broader than the ordinary Space Marines in the same range.
JoyToy makes the figure on 1/18 scale in ABS and PVC, hand-painted. It is an officially licensed Warhammer 40,000 product and the manufacturer gives the age as 15 years and over.
With its gold work and the separate staff this is one of the more striking pieces in the range, and so a gift for someone who already has an Ultramarines display standing.
