LEGO City Arctic Explorer Train (60470) is a 1,517-piece building set with a remote-controlled locomotive, a snowplough, a panorama carriage, a flatbed wagon and a snow tractor. It also includes 22 track pieces, a mountain tunnel with a rockfall function, an outpost and a zip line, plus 6 minifigures and 2 arctic foxes.
Once built, your child can drive the locomotive using the included remote control, trigger the tunnel and send the minifigures down the zip line. This sets the stage for endless new stories around a polar expedition, with the tractor and wagons as a starting point for their own adventures.
The set is intended for children from 7 years, and the finished train measures approximately 70 cm long. The locomotive runs on LEGO Powered Up technology; batteries are not included. Printed building instructions are included in the box and can also be followed via the LEGO Builder app.
Given the piece count and build time, this is a gift for a child who already has experience with LEGO and is ready for a larger, more involved project with trains and a polar theme.
