The LEGO Dreamzzz Nightmare Shark Submarine (set 71500) is a 1,413-piece building set from the Dreamzzz range. The box calls it 2-in-1: you first build a menacing shark submarine, then rebuild it into a hammerhead shark battleship, each version with moving details such as snapping jaws and fins.
The set includes several minifigures and figures for acting out the story: Mateo, Logan, Astrid, the villain Dreamsmasher, a dreamer figure, Z-Blob and three Cyberling figures. This lets a child re-enact the Dreamzzz dream world, with the heroes facing off against the nightmare submarine.
The set is intended for children from 9 years and has 1,413 building pieces, so expect a longer build session that suits a child already fairly experienced with LEGO. The 2-in-1 design means the set can be rebuilt after the first build, extending its play value.
This set makes a great gift for LEGO fans who know the Dreamzzz series or enjoy building sets with a story and characters attached. With two build options in one box, the recipient effectively gets two models to build and play with.
