A bag of 100 Kim'Play scoubidou strands in the classic solid colours, from red and yellow through to green, blue, pink and black. Each strand is 80 centimetres long, the length that braids comfortably without having to knot on a new piece halfway.
Braiding a scoubidou comes down to four strands and one pattern that repeats. Once it clicks, one keyring follows another: braided square, round, flat or twisted. It is calm, repetitive work that children do side by side at the table and that keeps them busy for a long time.
