A baby doll of 41 centimetres with a soft stuffed body and a head, hands and feet in plastic. She wears a two-piece outfit with a hat in the same fabric and, at this size, sits comfortably in a toddler's arm.
There is a push button in her tummy. One press and she says mama, says papa, laughs or cries: four sounds in all. That is just enough to give the doll a character without her talking all day. Children rock her, put her to bed, look after her and take her everywhere.
The batteries are already fitted: two AG3 button cells, so the sounds work straight away. The box carries the 2+ age symbol, the figure 41 cm and the 4 Sounds badge. The doll comes in two versions, one pink and one lilac; you receive one of them, and which one is not settled in advance.
A first real doll is a classic present: for a birthday, for Saint Nicholas, or for a child who has just got a little brother or sister at home and wants to do some looking after too.
