The Rex-Rampage comes from Nerf's DinoSquad range and is shaped like a tyrannosaurus: a green head full of white teeth closes around the barrel, with an orange-red stock at the back. You get the blaster, a clip for ten darts and 20 official Nerf Elite darts.
Firing runs off a motor. Hold the acceleration button in, aim with the fixed sight on top and pull the trigger for dart after dart until the clip is empty. The stock has room for ten spare darts, so reloading does not mean combing the whole garden first.
The blaster runs on 4 AA batteries, which are not included. The clip is made for official Nerf Elite darts. Hasbro states from 8 years.
A substantial present for a child who already plays with Nerf and is ready for something that feeds itself. The dinosaur theme also goes down well with children who are mainly there for the T-rex.
