This diamond kite carries the Gwenn ha Du, the flag of Brittany: nine alternating black and white bands, with a white field in the top corner strewn with black ermine tails. Hence the name - 'hermine' is French for ermine, the heraldic animal of Brittany.
The sail measures 60 x 65 cm, the classic diamond with four corners. The flying line is already attached and a black tail hangs at the bottom. It is a single-line kite: one line belongs with it and no steering set.
Graphically this is one of the quietest kites in the range: no animals, no cartoon characters, just the banded pattern and the ermine tails. Anyone who learned to fly a kite on the Breton coast will recognise the sail instantly.
Didak Beach is the outdoor range of the Belgian kite builder Didak. A gift for someone with a soft spot for Brittany, or for the flyer who would rather not have a cartoon character on the end of the line.
