The Discovery Ball from Playgo (item 1592) is a rattle in the shape of an open sphere. Around the middle run thick ribbed arms in yellow, red and light blue, with flower- and butterfly-shaped grips at their ends.
At the heart sits a clear tube with a blue spiral and a handful of coloured balls in the bottom. Tip or turn the ball and the little balls roll with it, while the dome on top turns along. Every movement therefore gives something to look at and something to listen to straight away.
The open shape is there precisely to be grabbed. Wherever a small hand lands there is always an arm or a ring to take hold of, and the ball is light enough to lift with two hands. The box is marked 6m+.
A little gift for a baby who is just learning to grasp and wants to make everything jingle, and a toy that fits a travel bag as readily as the toy basket at home.
