The box says it in four languages: Chess & Draughts, Schaken & Dammen, Jeu d'échecs & Jeu de dames, Schach & Damespiel. Two classics in one blue plastic case from Jumbo's Compact Games range, with a chess game and a draughts game and the pieces and discs that go with them.
Magnetic is the whole point here. The pieces stay where you put them, on the train, in the back of the car or at a table that sways. When you are done, the parts go into the storage compartment and the case closes with everything inside, so nothing goes missing between games.
The icons on the box are clear: 2 players, about 30 minutes a game, from 7 years. The packaging also carries 2 in 1 and Compact edition.
A good present for a child who is just learning to play chess, and the sort of thing you drop into the holiday bag without thinking, next to the pack of cards.
