The box holds seven maxi cards, each showing one facial expression, and seven cards carrying two drawn mini-stories apiece. A toddler lays a story beside the face that goes with it: the little boy standing sadly in the rain, the little boy cheering with his arms in the air.
That gives a child words for what it feels. The drawings are large and carry no text, so the words come from the child and from the adult looking on. The subtitle on the box sums it up: large illustrated cards for understanding emotions and expressions.
Along the bottom of the pack are the two things the game appeals to: emotions and logic. The stated age is 2+ and the box carries 'Made in Italy'. These are maxi cards, so a format well above ordinary playing cards.
A small gift for a toddler, and above all something to do together: one card at a time is plenty. The box and the accompanying leaflet are in French, but there is not a word on the cards themselves, so language plays no part there.
