Space Lab is the space set from Clementoni's Science & Jeu Laboratoire range, in a version aimed at young children. The centrepiece is the launch pad you assemble yourself; after that, the rocket goes off it.
The box sums it up briefly: easy, entertaining activities for getting to know space. For a five-year-old that mainly means doing, so building, launching and straight back to the start. Besides the rocket, the front also shows a space shuttle, the planets and a child in an astronaut suit.
The box states an age from 5 years, which makes this set a good deal more approachable than the average experiment kit. The set is made in Italy.
A first space gift for a preschooler who already points at the moon and wants to know what there is to do up there. The first build is best done together; launching works fine alone after that.
