The Planetarium Projector comes from Clementoni's Science & Play LAB range. The device is a dome-shaped projector on a stand: you slide a slide into it, put out the light and the sky appears on the ceiling or the wall.
The packaging states three slides, a projection of up to three metres, a head that turns 360 degrees and a focus ring. With those you aim the image where you want it and bring it into focus. The light source is a bright LED. The box also refers to an accompanying app with three-dimensional models.
The three slides each show something different: the solar system, a star field and a deep-space scene. The projector comes into its own in a dark room; the further you place it from the wall, the larger and softer the image becomes.
The box states 8+. A present for children who ask questions about planets and constellations, and at the same time a good-looking object to leave standing in the room.
