With ik leer fruit & vegetables your child joins two puzzle pieces each time: the whole fruit on one side, the same fruit cut open on the other. The box holds 12 little puzzles in all.
The word appears twice: once in capitals (AARDBEI) and once in lower case (aardbei). That way your child links the picture to the word and sees straight away that the same letters look different large and small. Note that this is the Dutch edition, so the words on the pieces are Dutch.
The box states what it is for: learning to recognise fruit and vegetables and building vocabulary. The side panel reads 'Voorbereiden op de basisschool' - preparing for primary school - and the corner shows 3+. Each puzzle is made of two parts, so your child can start alone without any explanation.
A compact little box for the kitchen table or for travelling, and a present that suits pre-schoolers who like naming what they see in the shop or on their plate.
