Phase 10 Junior is the child-friendly version of the well-known card game Phase 10, made by Mattel Games. Instead of numbers, the cards show cheerful animals such as rabbits, cats, dogs and hamsters, making it easier for young players to recognise the combinations. The box contains 56 cards and a set of playing instructions.
Each player receives phase cards showing which combination of cards they need to collect, for example four cards of the same animal or the same colour. Players take turns drawing a card from the draw pile or the discard pile, and lay their cards face up on the table once a combination is complete. Whoever turns over all their phase cards first wins.
The game has two levels of play, so it can grow with children who are just learning the rules or who are already a bit more advanced. Between 2 and 4 children can play at the same time, and a game lasts around 15 to 30 minutes.
Phase 10 Junior makes a fun gift for children who are just getting to know card games and want to play together with the family.
