Erik Eikel is a big squirrel who sits on a tree stump and does not know when to stop. The box holds Erik himself, the tree stump, 24 coloured nuts, a die, four store cards, a supply basket, a sticker sheet and the rules.
In turn you roll the die, take a nut of that colour from the basket and feed it to Erik by pulling gently on his tail. His cheeks visibly swell. If the basket has run out of that colour, you take a nut from another player or from yourself. At some point there is a click and Erik lets everything go at once - and then everyone grabs as fast as they can.
The nuts you scoop up go on your store card. The first player to fill their card wins. The box is in Dutch and states 2 to 4 players from 4 years.
This is a game for small children learning to tell colours apart and having to stay alert, with an ending that startles grown-ups too. The tension is in the waiting rather than the winning, which makes it work for mixed ages round the table.
