This set brings together the two classics of the NexCube line: the 3x3, the cube most people picture, and the smaller two-layer 2x2. NexCube is Goliath's collaboration with the cube brand MoYu.
Both are built to turn fast. The back of the box mentions the adjustable elasticity: with the little screws in the mechanism you adjust the spring tension until the cube turns the way you want it to.
The 2x2 is the logical stepping stone. You learn the first turning patterns on it and go on to the 3x3 afterwards. Anyone who can already cube gets two separate disciplines to improve times in. A display stand is included.
As a present the combination works well, precisely because the person opening it can go two ways at once.
