Joe is a little monkey balancing on top of a banana tree. The box holds the jumping monkey, the banana store, 12 bananas, a die, a sheet of stickers and the instructions.
Before you start you slot the bananas into the holes in the tree and press Joe onto the pin in the middle. Turn by turn you roll the die: take one banana, take two, give one away or pinch one from another player. Somewhere in all that pulling the tree gives way and Joe shoots into the air.
Then everyone grabs at once. Whoever catches the monkey before it hits the table gets to steal two bananas. After that everyone counts their bananas and the biggest pile wins. The box states 4+ and 2 to 5 players.
Handy for a birthday party: the rules take one sentence and the wait for that one jump works every single time. Good too when children of different ages play together, because luck counts here as much as quick hands.
