This is Goliath's dice version of Rummikub. The little box holds 18 dice with coloured numbers, a cup to roll them from, a fabric pouch, a score pad and the instructions.
The idea is the one behind the original Rummikub: you build runs of consecutive numbers in the same colour, or groups of the same number in different colours. Only here the numbers sit on dice instead of tiles, so you play with what you roll rather than with what you draw.
Goliath puts the game at 7 years and up, for 2 to 4 players, and reckons on about 20 minutes a round. Everything fits in the pouch, so the game travels along in a handbag, a rucksack or the glovebox without a second thought.
Good for anyone who already knows Rummikub and wants a shorter version, and a handy present for travelling or the holidays. The score pad keeps track of who comes out best across several rounds.
