A game that gets loud at the table almost at once. You draw a card with a syllable on it, roll the die to see whether the syllable has to sit at the start, at the end or somewhere in the middle of the word, and shout out something that fits as fast as you can. Then the bomb moves on to your neighbour.
The bomb keeps ticking all the while and goes off at a random moment, so nobody can work out how much time is left. Whoever is holding it then is out. The box puts it neatly: come up with the words as fast as you can before you burst out laughing.
Inside the box are cards with syllables, a special die and the toy bomb, which runs on batteries. The game is in Dutch and, according to Goliath, for 2 to 12 players; the box carries an 8+ marking.
That high player count makes it a good pick for a birthday or a family evening. Explaining it takes a minute and anyone who can read can join in right away.
