Jan van Haasteren Junior is Jumbo's children's range based on the well-known comic puzzles by illustrator Jan van Haasteren. Part 9 is set in the Efteling, where things get thoroughly out of hand at Max & Moritz: a cart of barrels tips over, a giant pretzel walks off on its own and the policemen have their hands full.
A picture like this is more than laying pieces. While your child closes the border and builds up the houses, the jokes turn up by themselves: the tortoise, the loose chicken and the shark fin, Jan van Haasteren's standing gag.
The puzzle counts 360 pieces, making it the biggest step in the Junior range, which runs from 150 through 240 to 360 pieces. The box shows 7+.
A good present for a child who already puzzles fluently and enjoys picking a scene apart, and a keepsake of a day at the Efteling into the bargain.
