A table-sized fridge in pale blue, with two doors above and a drawer below. Inside are three shelves, and in the door three racks, exactly as in a real fridge. On the outside is a control panel with a display and buttons, and beneath it a recess that a cup fits into.
It is role play, and that is the best of it: the shopping gets put away, the milk comes out for breakfast and goes back in afterwards, and the cup is held under the dispenser while the fridge makes the matching sounds. It stays make-believe: nothing actually gets cold, and the food and drink are imitations.
Accessories come with the fridge for the racks and the shelves: an egg box with eggs, milk cartons, a bottle of ketchup, tubs and packets and a pizza box. The panel is printed with 3 degrees and -18 degrees, so the fridge and the freezer each have their place. The whole thing is plastic and runs on batteries.
This is the kind of addition a play kitchen really gains from, because without a fridge everything stays out on the worktop. Suitable as a birthday present for a child who already plays with pots and pans.
