A toy oven from Playgo, made to stand on a table or on the floor next to a play kitchen. The door opens and closes, the oven is plastic and it runs on batteries.
The play is make-believe. The dish goes in, the door closes, there is a short wait, and then the meal comes back out to be served. Nothing gets hot and nothing happens to real food: a toy oven does not bake, it gives your child a reason to act out a kitchen.
The oven fits in with what is usually already lying around: play food, pans, plates and an apron. In a child's room where shop or restaurant is already being played, it is a logical addition.
