The waffle iron is made of plastic and opens and closes on a hinge, just like the appliance on the worktop. Inside lie two heart-shaped moulds; the lid has a grip on top and the same heart in relief. No plug comes into it and nothing gets warm: this is pretend play, not a kitchen appliance.
In the box are four heart-shaped waffles with the grid relief of a real waffle, a red bottle of ketchup and a yellow bottle of mayonnaise. Your child lays the waffles in the iron, folds it shut, waits until they are done and takes them out again to serve.
