This red vacuum cleaner by Theo Klein is modelled on a Miele cylinder vacuum, but at child size: roughly 19 x 35 x 12.5 cm. It rolls along the carpet on little wheels and has a flexible hose with a tube and a nozzle.
Turn the dial and the motor starts to hum with a real vacuum cleaner sound. Behind the clear little window, white balls swirl around as though dust were being sucked up. Nothing is actually picked up: this is role play, not a household appliance. After the cleaning, you simply clip the nozzle onto the housing so everything stays together.
The motor and the sound need 3 batteries of type R14 (C); these are not in the box. The packaging states the age as 'From 2 years'.
A lovely present for toddlers who want to copy everything mum or dad does, and a logical companion to a play kitchen or a doll's corner.
