The Magic Genie Lamp, as the box calls it, is a golden lamp with a gemstone set into the side. You follow the steps: the stone changes colour and makes little sounds, and when you hear a 'ping' you rub the lamp. Real mist comes out of the spout and the blue Mixie appears.
A magic ring is released along the way. With it you carry on talking to your Mixie: it responds to sound and touch, lights up, can balance on the lamp and remembers the name you give it and says it back. Together good for more than 60 sounds, light effects and reactions.
The box holds the lamp, the plush Mixie of about 20 cm and the magic ring. The batteries are included as well: six AA for the lamp and three AG13 button cells for the Mixie. The box states 5+.
A present for children who like surprises and like building a story around them. This is the blue lamp with the blue Mixie; a pink and a rainbow version exist as well.
