This traffic puzzle from Classic World is a wooden board with eight vehicles that fit into it. A little town is drawn on the board: a road with markings, a railway line, a river, a green hill and a skyline, with a traffic light, road barriers and a traffic cone in between.
The eight pieces are a steam train, a helicopter, a taxi, a boat, a crane truck, a fire engine, a tipper truck and a lorry with a trailer. Each piece has a round wooden knob in the middle, big enough to take between thumb and forefinger.
A toddler lifts the vehicles out one by one, names them and finds the matching shape on the board again. The board measures 30.2 × 21.2 cm and is 2.3 cm thick; the whole thing weighs around 300 grams. Classic World gives 18 months and up.
A handy size to take along to grandma's, and an affordable present for a child who wants to know everything that drives and sails by name.
